Who I Serve
I see adults for individual counseling who are motivated for change and who are ready to see their lives take shape in wonderful new directions.
In Person and Teletherapy
I offer both in person and Teletherapy. Teletherapy is an alternative to in-person sessions where you can get support from the comfort of your own home or office. Since there is no commute, you save time and gas and have more appointment options. Teletherapy has been shown to be as effective as in-person sessions and many people enjoy the flexibility this offers. I use secure, HIPPA compliant platforms to ensure your privacy.

My clinical skills include working with adults with a wide range of mental health, emotional and relational difficulties.
My Clinical Expertise
Stress and Anxiety: I have extensive clinical training in stress and anxiety reduction management techniques that work! Often people feel they have no choice but to accept the physical and mental symptoms of stress and anxiety but with the right tools you can experience a life of calm.

Creating a Life with increased Joy: I believe emotional wellness is intentional, cultivated and nurtured. I enjoy using evidence-based therapies to educate others on ways to bring simple joy into their everyday lives and live a life with more intention and purpose. I want to show you clinical proven ways you can transition from existing to living and increase joy in everyday moments.
Therapy Techniques Used
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a type of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that includes teaching and incorporating the different skills of Mindfulness, Acceptance, Emotional Regulation together to increase emotional wellness.

Mindfulness learn ways to increase your ability to slow down, be more present and find more peace and joy in the simple moments.

Biofeedback (Heartmath) Allows you to ‘hack into’ your bodies nervous system and reset the stress/anxiety response from the inside out. Use of a computer allows you to see your bodies stress level from the inside and observe the physical changes while experiencing the emotional changes of stress and anxiety on the body.

A 50 minute session that includes the creation of your personalized wellness plan to identify your vision, goals for therapy and techniques to achieve your desired outcomes. It also includes the recommended frequency and number of sessions we need to achieve your wellness goals

Life is full of many ever-changing seasons and while some are full of wonder and joy, others can be confusing and overwhelming. I am here to offer support and help you navigate through these difficult times and come through stronger. MEET THE THERAPIST

My name is Shannon Englehorn and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Bloom Counseling.
 

I have a passion for walking life alongside people and helping them feel accepted while also giving them tools to better navigate life’s challenges. I have been working therapeutically for over 20 years using effective, evidence-based therapy treatments and practices. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and in the use of Biofeedback through the Heartmath institute in California as a method to treat stress and anxiety symptoms. I am known for helping people achieve positive results when previous therapies or strategies were ineffective. I want you to see changes that bring more peace and joy to your life. My personable warmth, and empathic nature has helped many people feel comfortable as they work to overcome challenges life has presented.


The Beginning of Bloom Counseling
 

When I am not in the counseling room, I can often be found in my cottage garden “growing my own personal joy”.

I began to ponder what the counseling experience would be like if elements of the garden were brought together alongside my clinical expertise to enhance peoples healing?
 

I imagined a counseling space full of garden flowers, aromatic garden scents, herbal teas and infused waters all welcoming people to help make what can sometimes be a difficult process more inviting.


Then… Bloom Counseling was Born! I now enjoy filling our space with sights and aromas of the garden as it enhances your therapeutic experience and creates a beautiful space to work on your wellness journey.

INVESTMENT

INVESTMENT

Therapy is an investment in yourself! Often, we are not used to investing in ourselves, especially in our emotional wellness, but I can assure you that you will be grateful that you did and will wonder why you did not do it sooner!
 

INSURANCE

Bloom Counseling is a provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and will bill them directly for payment.  We are in network with most BCBS plans. If you have specific questions about your insurance, please contact them directly.  Please be aware of what your deductible and co-pay are for your individual plan.

 

SELF PAY

You may choose to self-pay and can be provided with a receipt for services, which can be submitted to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

 
THERAPY COST 
Payments are accepted by cash or major credit card and are due at the time of service.

 

Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (First Session only-60 minutes) - $180

 

Therapy appointments (50 minutes) - $165

​

We also have a limited number of scholarships to help with the cost of therapy.
